The Omarowa Stream Camp in the Ahimanawa Ranges

Eight minutes flight time from Time Out, our R44 helicopter lands on the helipad outside a tent camp in the Ahimanawa Ranges. This camp is well equipped with table and chairs, stretchers with mattresses and a gas cooker. A little pot belly fire can be lit for cooking or heating, and a meat safe is nearby for hanging venison. Here hunters can expect to come across both red deer and spotted sika deer.

 

The Owhe Stream Camp in the Ahimanawa Ranges

This hunters camp is beside a stream amongst the manuka bush. It gives ready access to good sika hunting in surrounding mature red beech forest. This well set up tent gives good basic comfortable living.

 

The Upper Panemanga Hut in the Ahimanawa Ranges

 
This comfortable four-bunk hunters hut is set up high on a ridge. Both red deer and sika are in the area.  

 

The Lower Momonanui Hut in the Ahimanawa Ranges

 
Just 15 minutes from Time Out, this bush hut is basic but adequate. The surrounding area gives good hunting in the bush and on the nearby grassy slips.  

 

The Tussock Hut in the Kaweka State Forest Park

This hut, set at the head of the Harkness Valley, offers good living for hunters, fishermen and trampers The R44 coming in to pick up clients from the Tussock Hut.
